Working Principle

They operate at relatively high pressures but have intermittent oil delivery, resulting in greater oil pressure fluctuations, vibration, and noise.
Hydrodynamic Pumps: These pumps drive the flow of fuel using a pump impeller, generating oil pressure by leveraging changes in fuel momentum. Examples include axial flow pumps, centrifugal pumps, turbine pumps, and side-channel pumps. They have minimal pressure fluctuations and operate at relatively low pressures, making them suitable for scenarios requiring large oil flow rates and low oil pressure.
